Receipt printer: A paper receipt shows customers exactly what they purchased, when they purchased it, and how much they paid. Businesses often need this technology to process payments, as well as ensure clear communication with customers after a purchase.
Bar code scanner: A barcode reader, also called a price scanner or point-of-sale (POS) scanner, is a hand-held or stationary input device used to capture and read information contained in a bar code. Why Customer Finding the Right Flow from the Get-Go
Since the start of the business, company has been using Odoo as their management system. The implementation was done by Indian IT company, and an active contributor to Odoo, Before implementing Odoo, while searching for the right system, we had some issues finding one that was a good fit for their workflow. we were set on having a sophisticated and modern ERP system that could deliver the functionalities we were looking for. She wanted everything to be perfectly organised right from the start so that the business would be ready to scale as soon as it was up and running. When we discovered Odoo , we were satisfied with the solution and the flexibility it could bring to her business.
Mostly using the following applications;
Odoo Inventory : Being in the food production business, and with odoo specific workflow, the company needed an efficient and accurate inventory solution to be certain which ingredients were in stock and in which exact quantity.
Odoo Manufacturing : For the food production itself, multiple Bills of Materials (BoM) were needed, and in this case they work similar to a complete recipe. The BoMs needed to flow well with the production process itself.
Odoo Sales and Invoicing: Were needed for the catering side of the business and recurrent sales to supermarkets. The launch cycle from testing to sales needed to be short, as it’s important to constantly create new products and get them to the market in time. Therefore, the packaging and labelling also needed to be short and flexible, while still including maximum information for the customer.
Odoo Point of Sales (POS): Flexibility was needed in creating new products, as menu varies, they have products made-to-order, and the company changes up its production selection. The POS was also required for the bistro and the B2B delivery service.
The launch cycle from R&D and testing of the product, to sales needed to be short, as new products were constantly being created and it’s important to get them to the market in time. Therefore, the packaging and labelling also needs to be short and flexible, but also include maximum information for the customer.
Why customer needs of a power pack solution
The business was going well and the business minded couple decided it was time to get rid of the Excel spreadsheet system and look for a better solution. Once they came across Odoo they found the solution to be very intuitive and they quickly got involved in the system and its functions. Being motivated learners they were already quite familiar and capable of working with Odoo before receiving any assistance from an Odoo consultant. With their type of mentality and Odoo’s user friendly interface, the implementation process was very easy. They had already managed to import all the data they needed to Odoo on their own, and they’d done most of the configuration as well. They implemented their apps in two phases, starting with Odoo CRM, Purchase, Inventory, Point of Sale (POS), and then they implemented Odoo Accounting separately.
With Odoo POS the loyalty program system became simple. The customer form is selected directly from the POS interface and the purchase is logged providing one loyalty point. After receiving 10 points, a 10% discount is automatically applied to the purchase on the POS. With Odoo Inventory they improved the rental process setup. They now sell a service called “renting”, set the return date in Odoo Inventory and validate the transfer. It’s then possible to filter for the scheduled date to see which products are out for rent.
Odoo POS provides them with a live update of the stock on hand, so they don’t have to take inventory on a frequent basis and the products needed are reordered according to the system.They implemented Odoo Accounting separately in less than a total of 9 hours with an Odoo consultant. Now they manage their store using French accounting standards without any customisation to the application.
